The Society was formed by a group of Canine enthusiasts in the small mining town of Treharris. Established in 1934, Treharris Canine Society is one of the oldest societies in Wales offering help and guidance to all dog enthusiasts both old and new.

In support of the Kennel Club’s, “Fit for Function, Fit for Life” campaign the Society intends to have on hand knowledgeable people to assist the general public in improving their knowledge of Breeds, i.e. appearance, characteristics, temperament, coat colour, size, life expectancy etc.

We generally hold two shows a year consisting of a limit show and a general show.
