when Alan and Maureen Broadstock were at the helm, Sad news the to hear the passing of Alan over the week end, was nice to see the show run so well under the new committee, and hope the club goes from strength to strength in the future RIP Alan

Firstly may I say what an honour it was to be asked to Judge at this Show. The Organisation and presentation was expertly done, it had a lovely Christmas feel and everyone appeared to have a good time. The standard of dogs was superb and all dogs beautifully presented and handled. Well Done to the hard working committee.

OPEN (1)1. Williams Tickbern Oaklahoma In Tinland ShCM, Lovely 5 year old Bitch.Great coat & condition, moved with purpose, good neck and well placed shoulders, strong in bone but refined, lovely mouth and expression.

 

DOBERMANN

 

GRADUATE(1)1.King’s Livonija Baronesa Dita Von Teese(IMP LAV) Stunning 8 month Puppy full of promise. This breed put on an impressive show today. All oozed quality & this young girl was no exception. Wonderful weight of head for one so young, flat skull & neat ears. Well laid shoulders & muscular body. Moved out well & good drive from rear. It was a close race to BOB, just got outshone by the masculinity ,power and presence  of BOB winner. BP OPEN(2,1a)1. Tylers’s Jojavik Bulletproof Bomb JW This young man was stunning on the stand and a joy to go over. Pure Male from every angle. Powerful pleasing head, good dentition and strong jaw. Eye well set & dark with good depth of chest. Hocks well let down, correct tail set and carried well. Moved like a powerhouse round the ring and just a joy to watch.BOB

 

ROTTWELLER

 

GRADUATE(3,1a)1. Lewis’s Minaelea’s Astrild Wow, now this young Lady is a Cracker! Only 10 months old, oozing pure class & takes your eye from the second she walks into the ring. Broad but feminine head, good mouth, well laid shoulders to die for, strong straight front, broad & deep body with well sprung ribs. Muscular back, moved effortlessly with purpose and totally sound. Handled to perfection. I could not deny this little star a well deserved BOB.BP BOB 2.Harris’s Saint Lythans Captain Cat. This young man was very impressive on the stand and the go over. Good size head, dark almond shaped eye, small ear and correct bite. All pure male, but on the move just did not show the power and reach or hard topline. Maybe needs to be moved a tad faster. Found out afterwards he had been poorly so hope he gets back into top form soon.

OPEN(3,2a) 1. Williams Jimeva Sonicboom Rylusha Again a lovely example of the breed, all put together in the right places, and in sound strong condition and moved out with drive and power. Beautiful headpiece with well placed eye and ear, coat that you could see your face in and handled expertly. Just unlucky to come up against such a strong puppy today.

GRADUATE(2,1a) 1.Williams Tinland Nia Perfect. Now this young lady broke my heart, was so impressive on the stand, but owing to a previous rough Judge that has scarred her confidence for now, I was unable to go over her. A youngster with such a look of gentleness of character and sensitivity. Lovely bone & feet, stunning markings that just make fill your eye, and once settled on the move was a joy to watch, full of reach and drive and almost floated round the ring. I only hope her bad experience can be reversed.

 

OPEN(1,0a)1. Kings Salforda Singapore Sling For Bledig. Mastiff. Beautiful Brindle Bitch. Great strong, square head and short muzzle. Well muscled body, bone and size. Firm, broad body, deep chest, upright pasterns & square elbow and firm back. Wonderful slow, free movement, well driven from the rear assembly.

 

VETERAN(1) 1.Williams Kernow Melody In Tinland. Leonberger. Very attractive 8 year old Bitch. Delightful outline, feminine headpiece, delightful expression. Firm topline & balanced movement & good bone and feet.

OPEN(1) 1.Stephens Strco Best Mate at Brightmeadow. Gorgeous 2 year old boy with great head & neck. Well muscled and strong muzzle and tight lips.  Good proportions of body, moved out well with power & determination, balance & ease around the ring. Looked alert and ready to work every second of being in the ring.  I was thrilled so see him go on to win BIS. BIS

 

 

 

NORWEGIAN BUHUND

 

OPEN(3) 1.Bethell’s Int Ch Arnscroft  Glad  Di Ola at Minforst. Delightful 4 year old Bitch. Lightly built with a lovely short compact body and perfect tail set. Small oval feet with tight closed toes. Great wedge shaped head with tight lips and cute black nose. Was totally straight coming and going with a feather light side gait. You just know this girl could work all day 2. Bethell’s Minforst Galadriel. Exciting youngster with fabulous sharp pointed ear, dark brown eyes and lean, straight & strong legs. Good spring of rib and straight from behind. I was not surprised to see she was the daughter of Nbr 1, she certainly got a lot of her Mothers good qualities.

PUPPY(1)Stephens Brightmeadow Fields Of Gold GSD. Again a wonderful specimen of a German Shepherd. Beautiful feminine head, gorgeous flowing lines and moved out well. A  skull in proportion to the length of head. Stunning almond shaped eye and correct colour. Just a little distracted with what was going on outside the ring today so attention was elsewhere. GRADUATE(1) Belgian Shepherd Dog Tervueren. Harris’s Hawksflight Zenyatta. This young lady oozes femininity and class from the stand onwards. Quaity headpiece, well coupled, lovely dark eye & well placed ear and supersound movement.

 

IRISH SETTER

 

GRADUATE(3,1a) Lewis’s Quensha China Girl. A 10 month old little girl. Now this yound Lady has it all going on. From the initial stand onwards, not a paw was put wrong. A joy to go over, very feminine & balanced head with a lovely dark eye, level topline, well laid shoulders & a clean neck. Screams pure class & a Superstar in the making. Owner just needs to realise what a cracker she has at the other end of the lead! BPBOB 2.Taylors Danaway Goody Two Shoes. Again a lovely 3 year old Lady with a feminine head & expression. Well turned out and in great condition. Well balanced shoulders, good feet & strong hind quarters. Just unlucky to meet the winner today. OPEN(1)Lewis’s Tarandell Rocher’s Desire. Another quality girl, moved with determination,shown in wonderful condition,glossy coat and a joy to go over, moved out well, with a strong rear drive and sound in all directions.

GRADUATE(2,1a)1.Halliday’s Purbarn Zo The Sunshines On.Gorgeous Lad who was very impressive on the stand. Well placed shoulder and topline. Rear assembly felt good on the go over, just was a little sluggish on the move. Great eye colour and placement and nice tight feet. Just not on top form today, Well shown and handled. OPEN(2)Powell’s Largeymore Lorentz. 2 year old Dog. I was taken by him the first moment I saw him and he did not disappoint on the go over and move. Pleasing head with lovely eye colour, bite good, held level back with excellent spring of rib. Firm bone & tidy feet, moved with ease and freedom.BOB. 2. Halliday’s Purbarn A Gust In The Valley. A 7 month puppy.Coming on nicely.Head & muzzle well balanced. Pleasing front with good shoulder lines. Rear already well muscled, could maybe be moved a tad faster to see the whole picture clearer, but looks like he will develop into a promising young Lad.

 

 

 

SPANIEL (WELSH SPRINGER)

 

OPEN(2) 1. Thomas’s Tudful Ddraig Goch At Calanhaf. Beautiful symmetrical outline, lovely domed skull, defined stop & chiselled below eye. Strong jaw and correct bite. Straight front, leading to sloping shoulders. Well boned and deep brisket. Smooth & powerful on the move, covered ground well. 2. Phillip’s Tudful Ffos-Y-Fran. Litter sister to 1. Actually better put together than 1, lovely muscular loin and well arched. Deep 2^nd thigh and hocks well let down with correct angled stifles. Flesh coloured nostrils and medium length muzzle. Lovely cat like feet. And legs well feathered. Just did not move out today as she should.

 

 

 

AV GUNDOG

 

PUPPY(4,1a) 1.Lewis’s Quensha China Girl. Irish Setter. Pls see notes above for Irish Setter. Note to Owner. This was really tight between 1 & 2. Always withdraw from consequent classes if you have won your BOB. 2. Fleetwood’s Millpoint Simply I Catching. Pointer. Real close call here between these 2. Both stunning examples of their breed. This young Lady was totally symmetrical and graceful curves. An alert & kind disposition with a lovely dark nose and eye rim. Wide,soft & moist nostrils and a soft lip. Long muscular neck and well let down brisket. Long resilient pasterns and well spring rib. Moved with plenty of drive and a well conditioned coat. It was simply the sheer Show presence of Nbr 1 that won the day. 3. Halliday’s Purbarn A Gust In The Valley. GRADUATE (2,2a) OPEN (3,2a) Cooper’s Gunsyn Gallardo. Bracco Italiano. I do not get to see much of this Breed so was thrilled to see this  young man in the ring. Strong, well balanced, powerful and looked like he could hunt all day. A beautiful noble, sculpted head with a deep chest. Looked intelligent & dignified. Lean cheeks with a slight stop. Soft eye expression and supple ears with a nice rounded tip. Sloping topline, broad croup into a nice tuck up. Powerful drive with a great raised head. Short/dense coat & shone glossy. Lovely Lad.Veteran(1) 1.Cooper’s Kanix Buttercup Of Trosant Sh CM. Pointer. A joy to go over this 8 year old Lady. A lovely alert & kind disposition to this Gal. Beautiful concave muzzle and soft lip. Well let down hocks and long muscular neck. Correct bite and moved with plenty of drive and power on the move.
